Keyboard Viewsonic ViewPad 7

The keyboard function does not work in a Viewsonic Viewpad7. Android 2.2
I have tried it with vmware view and rdp with and without companion tools.
(booth local wifi and 3g)
Is there any fix that i can apply?

I have now tried rdp to physical pc and have the same result.
Funktion keys does work but no keyboard.

Autodetect keyboard is checked.
