Wyse C10, when hibernating.

Wyse C10, when hibernating.

In our company we got alot Wyse clients. And we have now found a problem, when the client goes to hibernate (waiting for something to happend). The problem only appears when we have a KVM switch, when the worker have used the qyse client and switches over to the other client true the KVM switch and stays there for over more than 5 minuts (example 5 min). And switching back to the wyse client the USB wont work until we restart. The mouse and keyboard wont work.

Anyone else having this problem?

Sorry if my language were bad. Trying my best!

Greetings,
Company IT Director.

Well, some more information... We are on windows server 2003 R2. Are all from 150-350 people logged in during the day atleast.

We found out this problem last week and need some help.. We are looking into WNOS.ini but nothing wrong in this.. Is there any configs i have to add due to the KVM switch to work functionally?

Sincerely,
David

David,

The ThinOS clients shouldn't have an issue using a KVM as far as I know. What version of the firmware are you running on the C10LE devices? And is your KVM USB or PS/2 connected?

Guys... I have the same problem. When the c10 has the screensaver running for a length of time (as the user has been working from there PC for a while) when they switch back they cannot reveal the desktop be input from the mouse/keyboard is not recognised and they're stuck with the screensaver. The KVM is all usb.

Yeah, the KVM we are using is also USB.

We are running on firmware: 7.1_033 but are going to upgrade to the newest firmware over new year. If this is the solution were lucky, but if you know please let me know here!

The latest version of the firmware for the C10LE is 7.1.207; please check the self-service portal for the latest firmware revisions. Also, if you have a USB -> PS2 adapter, try plugging the KVM output into the adapter just to see if that makes a difference.

it also may be worth checking the event log on the C10LE to see if the keyboard and Mice show up as being removed and added each time you connect and disconnect from the KVM.
