Change configuration when ordering XPS

I've had a Dell XPS for about 5 years and have been very happy with it, but now I want a new one.

I have looked around, but would really prefer to stay with Dell.  I have found one XPS configuration that comes REALLY close to what I need ...

But I need to upgrade the SSD from 512Gb to 1TB and the RAM from 16Gb to 32Gb.  How do I do that?  I tried to contact support, but I need to input my order number ... and I haven't ordered yet.

Is there like a sales department that could help me?

If you order online you can go here: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-desktop-computers/xps-desktop/spd/xps-8930-desktop

Select the base model you are interested in and then click 'Customize & Buy' then select your options. If you need help you can click on 'We're here for you' (on the right) and either chat, call, or email.

You'll have more configuration options if you look at the XPS 8930 Special Edition, including options like Win 10 Pro instead of Home and a 850W PSU instead of the standard 460W PSU, assuming that matters to you.  If you choose one of the higher end video cards, especially those in the RTX series, I'd recommend the bigger PSU.

It might be less expensive to order it with 2x 8GB of 2666 MHz RAM from Dell and, separately, order 2x 8 GB of 2666 MHz RAM from Crucial, assuming you're comfortable installing it. Crucial guarantees their RAM will work if they recommended it for a specific PC model.

Be sure to poke around on the Sales site too. Sometimes there are coupon codes for discounts of up to $50 off a PC's purchase price when you enter the code during the ordering process.

And sign up for Dell Rewards too, but wait for their confirmation email before placing an order. Dell Rewards is free to join and offers 3% back on the price of your order (up to 6% if you finance with Dell). You can use the reward when the dollar amount is credited to your Rewards account toward the purchase of PC accessories or other goodies. IIRC, Rewards expire in 90 days, so be sure to go shopping before you lose 'em.
