Compatible mic?
Hi,
I would like to use a mic with this computer so I can use the computers speech recognition software. This for being able to use it to eliminate the use of typing which I am not good at. Which mic can I use to do this?

What PC do you have? Always include your PC model/number on any initial problem post.
However, in general if you have a mic jack on the front, a standard "Computer Mic" is all that's needed. Do not use the combination cell phone type mics as they are mostly incompatible and cause problems on a PC.
USB connected mics will work too. Just depends on which you want.
Regular P.A. system mic's will not work. You need one designed for a PC.
Here is an example of a standard analog computer mic:

Here is an example of a USB mic

Either one will work for speech. The analog model will save a USB port, if the USB ports are needed. I would go with the analog model, which keeps the USB ports open for other uses. But either will do the job.
