new computer set up
I have on order a new XPS to replace the old one. Bother will be on Windows 11.
I would appreciate suggests on how to migrate to the new one.
For example, which should I do first, install programs or transfer data?
What should about settings, etc.
I ordered Migrate with the new computer

I setup a new computer this way:
- I documented and inventory what is currently installed on existing computer.
- Backup old computer fully (I use Macrium Reflect and verify-on, to a file(s)
- Do the Windows First-Time-Setup on new one.
- Installed any required drivers. Run Windows-Update.
- Setup Networking
- Install required Programs and Apps (depends on user and machine's new role)
- Setup cloud Accounts (ie Google, Microsoft OneDrive, Apple iCloud)
- Restore data-files and media-files.
- Re-Integrated any required data (ie Outlook 2021)
- Documented the process. I also save any required files (drivers, installers, etc.)
- Use computer normally to test.
