XPS 8930  Current driver version 9.0.0.42 dated 14-Sep-16. Lately, when checking for Windows Updates, it briefly responds with a flash of an update that doesn't really start to download or ever actually install: "Rivet Networks Version 9.0.0.50".  

I spent about as much time as I desire looking for a way to resolve this but to no avail.  The only place I found the supposed newer driver it responds with "encountered a problem, unable to install".

Dell Support Assist driver update doesn't report the need for any updates.

I don't see any "symptoms" associated with this other than the annoyance of a failed update.

Killer software version 3.1122.104.2 installed, just FYI if it matters.
