XPS 8940, Service Tag, Express Service Code, not working
My XPS 8940 delivered in Jul 23 bought at Dell.com. I setup is okie. But when I check Server Tag and Express Service Code in dell.com
it notify : "There is no match for that Service Tag or product ID. Please try again, auto-detect or choose from all products"
When I contact Dell Technologies Support online they ask me to enter a Server Tag for support. But it doesn't work, doesn't support
When I called them directly, they were unable to check and did not support either
No Events found!

Give it another few days for the Service Tag to get added to the database, especially since it doesn't sound urgent. It can take ~7-10 days during "normal" times...
And as @Vic384 said, make sure you're reading the Service Tag correctly. Others that are often confused are Y and V...

It may take some time for your Service Tag to get into their system or you could try Dell Product Registration.

I guess you will have to try contacting customer support by phone again. The only other thing I can think of is make sure you are not confusing the letters and numbers, for example, the letter capital 'I' with the number '1' or the letter capital 'O' with the number '0'.

Today Aug 15 2020 The Service Tag worked! 3 week!

I had that same problem a few days ago with both of my Dell systems. I think there was some database errors on their side as it "came back" after a day or so.
