XPS 8950, chassis legs?
Does anyone know if the aluminum legs that come standard on the bottom of the Platinum Silver XPS 8950 chassis can be ordered from Dell parts and what the part number is? Also, would they attach directly to the bottom of the Night Sky XPS 8950 chassis that only comes standard with the small rubber pads?

The aluminum legs are silver and therefore incongruous with the black nightsky case if you want to mod it. It might look odd in color. You can paint the silver legs to make a better color match, or get a riser instead of legs.
the legs look like standard dell accessories that are similar to previous XPS chassis design (such as 730X) and are definitely detachable. Each leg is fastened to chassis floor using 4 screws via countersink holes.
If you look at black case it also has the leg mounting holes on floor. This makes sense as black and silver chassis use same metal skeleton with just difference in shell paint/bezel/legs.

To the degree it helps, I just purchased a stand for my 8950. Looks great, and it rolls!
