Area around taskbar greyed out and flickering
XPS 15 9500
Ran into this problem today where the area around the taskbar at the bottom of the screen is greyed out and flickering. I've looked around some other threads but haven't found any answers. When I move the taskbar to the right, the flickering area does not follow it, so it is exclusively at the bottom of the screen.
I've also tried disabling touch screen in device manager, and that doesn't work either. My drivers should be up to date as I gone through and installed the latest ones as recently as last month.

Try connecting an external monitor to see if the issue exists there as well. Also run diagnostics, F12 at boot, and watch for display errors. But more than likely either the display or cable or both need to be replaced. Also considering your other post it may be MB related.

No issues with a monitor or diagnostic check. Hoping a new MB will fix this issue as well.

Open Device manager > Humen Interface devices > HID TOUCH > Right click and choose disable.
If this fixes the issue then you are dealing with Ghosttouch (bad touch screen assembly)
