Audio Driver not Recognizing Multiple Devices from Audio Jack Splitter
I recently purchased an audio jack splitter form amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBBBWXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in order to use an external mic and headphones from the same device, which is a Dell XPS 15 7590.
Unfortunately, the audio driver that is being used, which is MaxxAudio Pro by Waves, cannot recognize when I plug these two devices in.
When I try to use the Headset or Headphone options for the device, the audio output comes through to my headphones, but the input comes through the laptop's inbuilt microphone.
Using the microphone option allows the audio input to come through the microphone, but audio output comes through the laptop's inbuilt speakers.
Is there any way to fix this? Online classes start soon and I need to use these peripherals on the same device.

Your model requires a combo microphone/headset not 2 separate devices instead of the adapter.
See the specs-- https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/xps-15-7590-laptop_users-guide_en-us.pdf

Thank you for clarifying this. Does that mean there is no way to connect separate input and output devices with this laptop without bluetooth?
