Battery Settings

I just received my XPS 13 9310 a couple days ago and I'm trying to figure how to sustain my battery. While doing some research I found out that these laptops use Li-ion batteries and that in order to sustain the battery I shouldn't keep charging and discharging it. Knowing this, I created a custom setting which has my max battery charge at 80% and my min battery charge at 50%. However, I noticed that my laptop keeps on switching from charging and not-charging frequently even though it is already at the max charge. Is there anyway that I can fix this?

You are correct about these batteries. The custom setting is a good idea. That is what I have done with my 9550.

1. How often is the charging switch occurring? Is it constant?

2. Is there any change in the charge level or is it an instantaneous switch on and off?

When I plug mine in, I see the charge lights momentarily flash but then go off if I am not below the minimum.

The light to indicate the laptop is charging would be on for a couple second to a couple minutes then turn off again, and this cycle would just keep repeatedly happening.

@abarroga3 There is a thread about this problem here: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-13-9310-charge-light-blinks/td-p/7841376/

I would suggest you to "Me too" that issue and leave a comment there.
