Bitlocker in windows 11

Windows 11 enables bitlocker even with W11 home version.

I did not enable it . But looking at the settings and manage bde :

bitlocker 1.jpg

bitlocker 2.jpg

So in settings it says : device encryption is on BUT I need to sign in with microsoft account to finish encrypting this device .... What does that mean ?

So it hasn't finished encrypting it ?

Then cmd>manage bde : Protection status = off , Lock status : unlocked ?

What does that mean ?

I don't have the :

KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BitLocker >PreventDeviceEncryption  key in registry.

Apparently my MS office activation is now my MS account too , and my device is listed there although I installed W11 without an account. But no bitlocker key .

A windows update or a change of your hardware can lock you out , with the bitlock screen asking for the recovery key.

So what to do after a clean re-install : immediately switch off bitlocker in settings ? (because I don't want it and don't want to get locked out).
