Dell XPS 17 Refused Replacement
Hi all,
My Dell XPS 17 is from the first batch of laptops with known power issues -- the computer takes less than 130W at full load. This is well documented.
Customer support has only offered a replacement motherboard replacement on Aug 31st, which is too late for my needs. However, they refuse to ship me a replacement laptop because I am over the 30 day return limit. FY it has been 40 days.
This issue took longer than 30 days to identify and diagnose. It has led to a decrease in battery health by 5% because the battery has already been ran for 15-20 power cycles largely due to unnecessary battery drain.
These motherboard parts exist but on the second production run of Dell XPS 17's and it doesn't make sense that I can't have a replacement for the laptop.
Has anybody experienced this issue?

I received a private message from a bot, but would like to keep communication here to see if we can establish a precedent for a replacement of defective products just outside the 30 day window.
