Dell XPS plus 9320 text on screen having either bright dots around it or distorted

Has anyone else noticed these kind  of bright white pixels around text on their Dell XPS Plus 9320? 

This happens when the computer is in HDR mode (i use for youtube videos). However, when its off HDR mode the text still has the same distorted pixels but just in black around the text in the Windows desktop, but most notably my browser. 

I have tried everything possible to remove these distortions -- editing the registry, adjusting the appearance and performance, adjusting clearType-- to no avail. What's worse is that i just received a brand new XPS 9320 and it has the exact same issue, which is not fixable (along with a host of other issues i had on my original xps plus)! 

I feel like there is an issue with the manufacturing and/or quality control of this device, if im getting the same issues -- along with others-- for a brand new replacement. 

Has anyone else dealt with this? anyone had any success trying to fix it?
