We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.
I hope yours is good. The original trackpad on mine had this problem and so did the replacement. Sending it in again and I do not have high hopes that the next one will last very long. Had it for around six months and it has been out of service for maybe half of that time.
Thanks for your input! I had 2 MSI Summits with the problem and then bought the XPS. I also considered an LG but cancelled my order due to reported problems. So far, I have not had any problems with the XPS touchpad at all. I hope I stay lucky! While high priced, Dell doesn't appear to cut any corners on the XPS. I hope you get your problem resolved.
