Failure to Boot into windows

Question

Hey so I've had this issue for the past few months, it started randomly. 1) So when my laptop shuts down, It will not boot into windows. Stays at the black dell screen with circles loading and rotating for hours. 2) I have to hold the power down until laptop shuts down again 3) Power up once more, this time it successfully boots to windows 4) Rinse and repeat I am running windows 10 have a core i7 processor and running on the 1.15 bios. The reason I am running the older Bios is on 1.16 I get anTPM is not detected error.   This is quite frustrating to do every time and I'm not very tech-savvy enough to fix on my own. The only other important information I can think of is when I run a system diagnostics everything is in order. All systems and drivers are updated. My battery life is quite poor and my laptop does not last off the charger for very long (30 minutes surfing the web will drain estimated life 1 hour-1:30 hours).

This sounds like it could be the 'Fast Startup' / 'Intel RST' issue. Try turning off 'Fast Startup' and see if it helps. Instructions can be found here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup JohnD
