Fake Dell email?
Hi all
So I just received a mail claiming to be from Dell asking me to complete a survey and rate my xps 9550 out of 10. Looks fairly convincing apart from the address which is designteam@welisten.dell.com
I will be deleting it but just wondered if anyone can confirm it's legitimacy/warn others.
Happy to post screenshot

Hi Rondo88,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your ordering experience was not as you expected.
If you feel the email you received is of a questionable nature, then please go here and fill out the secure, "Report Phone Scams" form to assist our Fraud Team in further investigation. Thanks.

Hey @robert p
Thanks for the reply report to fraud. Are you confirming this isn't a Dell email address. I've contacted Dell several times and No one can confirm if Dell use this address or not.
We like to warn our users of phishing emails and all i want is to verify the address which seems impossible...

Hi Rondo88,
Unfortunately, there are so many departments here at Dell, that I can neither confirm or deny this email address as one that is used by us. The Fraud Department investigator should be able to assist you when they reply to your report.

That's great but that link is to report phone scam and doesn't allow you to add email address
Is there one to report emails to?

So I may not even get a response. How can it be so difficult to get answer to this. I am an IT Manager if someone calls me to ask if an mail address is from us I can tell them right away. While I respect Dell is s very large organisation how is it they can't confirm they own an email address ? for a tech firm that's frankly ridiculous.

The only email address I can positively confirm is @Anonymous.com. Even though there may be others, I am not personally aware of them, and I too would be suspicious. As with all emails, please use your own judgement and discretion in dealing with emails you are suspicious of.
Here is a link to information that may be helpful.

Same issue, how hard can it be so hard to identify an e-mail within your own company?
here is the link the poorly timed survey e-mail wants me to click.. https://dell.inquisiteasp.com
How about you guys send an e-mail informing about security leaks instead of spamming me with surveys? I did not even know about that until after I got this spam and I am very worried now.

Hi tempg,
Thanks for your post. Apologies for your confusion regarding the Alienware Survey link.
The survey and the link appear to be legitimate. Did you purchase or comment about an Alienware product?
I've reached out to the Alienware team in an attempt to find out if it is legitimate.

I have the same issue. I've been contacted via email and phone and when I report the phone number of the caller I get an error message. And I can't check the email address because the form is just for phone calls. Is this normal??

Hi, yes dell is sending surveys from this email even today. So it was legitimate and also the link in email also starts with address "dell.inquisiteasp.com"
Nothing to worry about
