How Do I Enter BIOS on my XPS 15 7590?

According to this website ...

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/xps-15-7590-laptop/xps-15-7590-service-manual/entering-bios-setup-program?guid=guid-1432a924-49e9-4080-961d-2afbdaf42039&lang=en-us

... all I have to do is:

  • Turn on (or restart) your computer.
  • During POST, when the DELL logo is displayed, watch for the F2 prompt to appear, and then press F2 immediately.

However, I never do see a prompt for F2 at all. I have restarted maybe half a dozen times, and I've seen nothing like an F2 prompt. All I see is the Dell logo, then the spinning dots logo, then it proceeds to Windows login.

Absent the F2 prompt, I've tried pressing F2 during just the logo, I've tried pressing F2 during the spinning dots portion, I've tried pressing F2 during the black space period between the logo/spinning dots and the Windows login—nothing is working.

What am I missing here?

Have you tried constantly tapping F2 immediately after turning on the system not waiting for anything to display on the screen?

Is that what works for you?

With both of our Latitude laptops, yes.
