A very professional sounding error (says warning though?) message indeed...
And then the "Dell Update Package" dialog window says
The update installer operation
is unsuccessful.
Poor update installer, hopefully you'll be successful in your career someday.
...Anyways, I'm seeing the same message. My brand new XPS 9720 has audio crackling/distortion issues and I did some digging and found that uninstalling the program actually fixes this problem? So I guess I will have to choose between a usable headphone jack and non-distorting speakers?
I followed the "concept" of your post and it worked out.
I've extracted "Waves-MaxxAudio-Pro-Application_MX1PP_WIN64_5.0.41.0_A02_02.EXE" into a directory and found out the one that seemed like an application (was the largest one).
manuall run "e185a3654c504f6fb073101415055cab.msixbundle" and the application appeared.
In the aplication, I've clicked the "show popup when connecting a device option".
and then it worked.
It's borderline ridiculous that the one of the most expensive products of Dell has issues with sound management. This was expected to be an issue back in Win 3.1 days.
