Installing intel optane memory in xps 13 9360
Can I install intel optain memory modules in my xps 13 9360. I know that the RAM in this PC is non upgradable however I think the intel memory modules will go in the ssd slot. Any suggestions welcome.

Sorry but Intel Optane Memory is not an option for your laptop.

But there are other options.
How much memory do you have installed now???
What is the size of your Hard Drive installed and how much free space is available on the drive???

cant it be installed in the slot where the current ssd is installed?

No!!!
Thats where the operating system is loaded???
You only have one slot for an SSD and cannot upgrade memory.
When "Physical Memory" cannot be upgraded you increase the "Virtual Memory"
It compinsates for the lack of "Phyisical Memory"
Thats why I asked:
How much memory do you have installed now???
What is the size of your Hard Drive installed and how much free space is available on the drive???

Optane memory is not like system memory. It is a prefetch configuration to speed up the drive access..

fact is I have enough space in the storage and my RAM is never full. The current SSD in my xps is sk hynix I just want to upgrade to a faster SSD. I know about the cap at 1800MB/s. What would you suggest I am looking at samsung 970 evo plus. Thanks
