New XPS 13 Intel iris driver issues
So i have a new XPS 13 laptop with Dell's custom Intel Iris driver installed.
I think the drivers supplied are having some issues. First of all, i have my laptop connected to one of the Dell Docks which is then connected to my Alienware 4k curved display. This is working generally fine, however occasionally i see the screen glitch, both on the laptop and the monitor. I have also noticed that this driver does not seem to play well with Chrome and Edge. Basically, some images are not being rendered correctly, like they are corrupted.
For example, if i try whatsapp web, the qr code is not displayed correctly, even if i try the whatsapp desktop application, the same happens. However, Removing the hardware acceleration option in chrome solves the issue which does not just affect whatsapp, but also other rendered images such as for example graphs (i dont notice any issues with chrome either after removing this option...). Running the whatsapp desktop application in compatibility mode (windows vista serivce pack 2) also fixes the issue. No issues on Firefox, but same issues on Edge.
According to Intel driver manager, the driver on the laptop is a custom Dell driver, but it allows me to update it. Question is, should we keep dell Intel Iris custom drivers or update to the latest Intel ones? Im curious to update to the latest Intel version, but at the same time im worried ill break something and dont know how to revert back to the Dell version.
Any suggestions?

for anyone interested, the solution is very simple. Even though windows says your drivers are up to date, run the Dell update software (type dell update in the search bar), this will tell you to update Intel UHD (amongst a couple other things). Do this and once its done, problem solved!
The issue is now fixed, chrome can run with hardware acc enabled and even geek bench gives a higher score.
Thanks dell for informing me about this...NOT!! is it really that difficult for Dell to simply respond and say 'make sure you've run our software update application..'.

Im adding some screen shots of the issue so you can see the corrupted images and then how they look with hardware acc off:
As you can see the QR code images renders correctly (as did the graph) once i turned off Hardware ACC off in chrome. This also happens in Edge though and even in some desktop apss which i assume use web containers (such as the whatsapp desktop application).
What i really would like to do is update to the latest Intel Driver, however im not sure if that would break something. So my question is, if i update to the latest Dell driver, can i then revert back to the dell one? if so, how?
