Notebook version of XPS Plus
Why did Dell go away with the 2 in 1 standard notebook type version with the latest XPS plus model?
I have been using the XPS 2 in 1 2020 and loved it. I wanted to upgrade to XPS 13 Plus but cant find the 2 in 1. That makes me sad. Are there any plans of such change or new version in the future? Should I wait or look for another laptop ?

As the other reply notes, there is still an XPS 9315 2-in-1 -- but if you're looking for a 2-in-1 that uses the higher-power CPU the Plus does, you're likely out of luck. The design of a 2-in-1 won't allow the installation of a CPU that needs that much power to operate.
A 2-in-1 isn't designed for flat-out performance. Even the XPS Plus is going to be limited in performance by its size and weight -- with a 2-in-1, those limitations become prohibitive.
