Problem new audio driver on XPS 9570
Hello. I updated my XPS 9570 with the latest Realtek 6.0.1.8642 driver via Support Assist.
I noticed that the sound got worse, the bass is more powerful and the sound tends to distort terribly.
All this is even more noticeable if you listen to music and sounds with any headphone connected to the headphone connector.
I tried all MaxAudio rules and even turned it off, but I can't get a decent sound.

Same problem here - computer ran some automatic updates and how I have horrible bass thats somehow boosted 200%. I've gone into Maxx audio and disabled the Maxx Bass that dell automatically enabled after the update (thanks dell) but there is still an unreasonable amount of bass, much more than the update.
If I can't figure out how to disable or roll-back this driver I'll probably sell this laptop. Every single update dell pushes it breaks something else. Battery life via removing true sleep in bios, messed up wifi drivers, messed up audio drivers... when will it end?

Thank you for your message. What is the audio driver version installed on your system now?
The audio driver was updated on the 8th of April. Is this updated on your system?
If the issue persists download & save audio driver version https://dell.to/2ZncPbL03, A04, to your desktop screen.
Open device manager – expand sound & video – right click on the audio driver & click on uninstall (check the box that says delete driver) Do not restart your computer.
Install the driver saved on your desktop screen & check if the issue persists.
For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.
