Service Tag and Express Service Code not being recognized

Hello, 

I bought the laptop from my local best buy and now the express service code nor the service tag are being recognized by the Dell Support website. Tried calling support and they are not helping

Your best bet is to return to Best Buy and ask.

I've heard that sometimes there is a bit of a delay before a new system is registered in Dell's database.

I don't work for Dell, but this is what I suggest. Click on @DELL-Cares and send a Private Message requesting assistance.

I did, but they just said to contact Dell Support

Since you can't do that without a valid service tag, and since it's Best Buy's responsibility, push the issue with them (bearing in mind they have a relatively short return period of about 14 days at most, so don't let that elapse before they solve the problem).
