"Error code 2869" isn't a universal thing, and you're providing no detail about what the software is, what application/browser you're using to download this package, when exactly this happens in the download (if it's consistent), whether there's any sort of error description rather than just an error code, whether this error appears to be thrown by the browser, Windows, the application if the download completes but fails to install, etc. -- so there isn't anything useful to go on here. Maybe try contacting the software vendor for support if you don't want to share any details about this "private software package" on a public forum?
