Probably not, but you'd have to call Dell for that information. Expect $400+ if you can reinstate the warranty and that's just for a year -- you'd likely be better off setting the funds aside in case a repair is needed and self-fund it.

@ejn63 sounds good, i paid almost 500 for my alienware this year which makes me feel like i got scammed lol.

If you mean for an extension of the warranty, it's pretty much the same as it would be with a car -- the more expensive (and complex) the notebook, the more the warranty costs. The only time a warranty upgrade makes sense it at purchase -- after that, you're simply pre-paying the cost of a major repair.
