This is how the dongle registers under device manager. Because of this dell peripheral manager does not detect any device. If anyone has the driver for the dongle please assist.

Same here, the dell peripheral mgr doesnt detect the dongle ("no dongle detected") as it usb driver is not installed, same as picture above by device manager. also tried installing the latest firmware with the latest KB3121W firmware updater from Dell but that gives "no paired device found" and cant update.
so still  stuck with the dongle in boot mode thanks to an update by dell peripheral mgr.

is there a way to get the usb dongle out of the boot loader mode and/by flashing updated firmware? either on windows or using linux? maybe with linux fwupdtool or other?

@MacL1 I am experiencing exactly the same thing. I have also tried on another system and cannot get the dell peripheral manager to download.

@PhilipLynx@Chris Mutura @MacL1 Have you tried uninstalling the device in device manager, installing Dell Peripheral Manager manually (from here: https://www.dell.com/en-uk/lp/dpem) and then re-plugging the dongle back in? Dell Peripheral Manager found my dongle, although it didn't recognise it as the universal receiver, but it successfully re-flashed its firmware

@SiO2y dell replacedmouse for me. again there is update  available i am not sure if it will work or not so i am not updating it at all.
regarding uninstalling and plugging universal receiver i tried that in device manager but for me that was showing only hardwawre and not dell receiver and dell peripheral is also not recognizing it so flashing was not possible at all.

For those who are still stuck at dell peripheral manager not detecting the dongle, here are some simple steps.

  1. Install latest peripheral manager
  2. Open device manager
  3. Go to the unrecognized dongle driver i.e. nRF24LU1P-F32 BOOT LDR
  4. Right click then update driver
  5. Browse my computer for drivers
  6. Let me pick from available drivers on my computer
  7. Select multiport serial adapters and install
  8. Open dell peripheral manager and install the update.

If your computer does not have multiport serial adapter, look for a driver which generally means an external usb device.
