XPS 13 9305 Sound Issues

I'd be grateful for some advice or help, please. I have started to have issues with sound on my laptop - the microphone no longer works when using Teams etc and I have no audio when playing video clips and so on. I haven't had this issue before and everything was working perfectly right up until my warranty expired. I'd like to think that there isn't a link between the two! I've tried troubleshooting and I've checked the microphone privacy settings but no luck. Any ideas?
