XPS 13 9380, Thunderbolt Control Center

My Thunderbolt Control Center had a bug on my brand new Dell XPS 9380. It kept on coming up with the message "This thunderbolt application is no longer in use", every time I turned on the laptop. Because of this, I uninstalled it off my Dell XPS. When I went to the windows store to download Thunderbolt Control Center, it would not install. I also tried drivers on both Dell and Intel website) and now I do not have Thunderbolt Control Center. Is this a bug and if so how can I fix it? And since I'm looking to use an EGPU with my XPS, is the Thunderbolt software even necessary?
