XPS 15 2-in-1 Bluetooth Issue
Hi All,
I am having a random bluetooth issue with my XPS 15 2-in-1 device. Basically, it will randomly stop working. In Device Manager, the Qualcomm bluetooth device will show as disabled by windows. All other bluetooth devices are gone and not functional.
I worked with Dell support on this at one point, and they wanted it returned but then we discovered it is out of warranty.
Randomly, I discovered the a full power off/power on caused it to turn back on. I went for months with no bluetooth issues, then it randomly happened again today. And the power off/power on fixed it again. a reboot without fully powering down does not fix the problem.
So at this point, it's annoying but not putting me out of commission. but finding a fix for it would be great.
and of course, I should mention that all drivers are up to date and I've run Support Assist and it finds nothing.
any ideas would be appreciated.

One thing you might check is open the Device Manager and double click on the Bluetooth adapter. The properties dialog will open and then select the Events tab. This tab may show a lot of info in a small window so you may need to scroll down to see the latest entries. If you highlight an entry it will show a description below.
If you can find some sequence which may show driver being unloaded or changed or whatever, it might help track down what is happening.
Also, when certain devices become diminished in some way, the system may start to lose it connection and not be able to reconnect without reboots. If it doesn't help to just reboot, it may mean the driver already loaded needs to be renewed through a full power down and restart.
