The RAM slot is probably bad but that does not mean the other slot is bound to fail. As for the screen issue, run diagnostics (tap F12 immediately at boot) and watch for the same lines during the display test. If they are also there, and I would guess they will be, then the screen would need replacing. With a probably MB problem and display problem it may be wiser to replace the laptop.

The MB is around $550 - 800 and the display is around $300. That is a significant cost and money that could be used for a new system.

Same problem here....the left slot is not working properly. And i don't know what to do. Does any one know if xps 15 7590 supports ram 32 in each one slot? Can it be fixed?
