XPS 15 9500, lid gap issue

Question

When closing the lid of my laptop, there's a gap between the lid and the body of the device... Customer support wasn't too helpful with throwing me literally between agents. Is there anything I can do? (Wish I had a better camera, but you can clearly see the light bleed through from the window)

Would it be possible to replicate the image you posted first on the thread but instead have the computer lie on its back hinges? Just to check how big the gap is when held vertically. Perhaps we might be able to escalate this.

Hi Pratheepan, There doesnt seem like there's any technical issues (the monitor does turn off when the lid is closed). If this was an inspiron, I would have brushed this off. However for a fairly expensive xps device that is suppose to compete with a macbook pro - I do want to treat this device with care and I'm worried about the portability of the device due to the misalignment. What can be done about this?
