XPS 15 9500 windows hello issue

Hi guys,

Recently, I've had some issues with the Windows Hello facial recognition feature on my brand new Dell XPS 15 9500 that it sometimes doesn't work after the start up. Then, I went to the device manager, uninstalled the windows Hello driver and tried to reinstall it again. However, after I pressed the "scan for hardware changes", the driver does not appear again anymore no matter what I do. So does anyone have a solution to get my driver back ?

I'm really frustrated right now and I really don't want to reinstall the whole system again--- I am busy recently.

Try going into device manager -> Cameras, expand selection, right click to uninstall Integrated Webcam

Once uninstalled go to Scan Hardware...  Windows should detect the camera as Integrated Webcam and reinstall the needed hardware drivers.  After the detection and reinstallation of your drivers you'll need to setup facial recognition in Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in Options

Did you uninstall the camera drivers?  You posted that you uninstalled the Windows Hello driver.  Those are different drivers.  One is in Biometrics and the other is in Cameras.  Reboot system if hardware is undetected.

No, what I uninstalled is the Windows Hello drivers and not the camera drivers. I've already rebooted the system hundreds of times and hardware never detected successfully again at all.

See this image please, two webcams' driver all work fine but the Windows Hello facial recognition driver never appears back again anymore. No matter how many times I scanned or rebooted.Screenshot 2020-12-07 164028.png

Same exact issue for me.  Out of the blue, Windows Hello camera stopped working and I have two Integrated Camera entries in device manager but when I uninstall either, deleting the drivers isn't an option.  If I delete them anyway and reboot, they come back the same.  Searching for Infrared Emitter drivers, but no luck.  Very frustrating
