XPS 15 - 9510 - Bluetooth (Microsoft Surface) Keyboard and Mouse - lag and stuttering

My new XPS 15 (9510) - has a similar issue described by another post on the XPS13... however, the solution is based on Logitech devices and it does not work for Microsoft devices i.e. the registry key to edit, does not exist.

Yes, two of the three registry keys don‘t exist but you can add them manually.

Lag and stuttering disappear after adding the registry keys but you can‘t wakeup your laptop from standby by pressing a button on your bluetooth mouse or keyboard anymore. That‘s a side effect of the registry settings.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\VID_8087&PID_0026\5&ed1e05a&0&10\Device Parameters]

"DeviceSelectiveSuspended"=dword:00000000

"SelectiveSuspendEnabled"=dword:00000000"

SelectiveSuspendSupported"=dword:00000000

This text „VID_8087&PID_0026\5&ed1e05a&0&10“ can be a little different on your machine.

Please note the below fix/steps are done at your own risk so please have your important data backed up*

Dell-Cares used this as the fix:

- Press Win+R to open RUN command window, type devmgmt.msc to open Device Manager.

- Find the connected Bluetooth mouse that has the lagging issue. Right-click and open properties from the drop-down menu.

- Click Details tab, find Parent in Property drop-down menu, write down the letters of following BTH\MS_BTHLE\ in somewhere.

- Press Win+R to open RUN command window, type regedit to open Registry Editor.

- Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\VID_8087&PID_0026, find the value of ParentIdPrefix that is matching to the identified in step 3 from the device interface beneath the registry tree.

- Browse to Device Parameters beneath the registry tree, find registry entry  DeviceSelectiveSuspended and double-click to modify the value

- Modify the Value data from 1 to 0 in Hexadecimal.

- Reboot the computer to take effect.

*Again, before any edits of the registry are made, making a backup of the registry or a manual restore point is strongly recommended as this fix might not work on all systems.

Thanks a million @JeffBeff for the response. I've just rebooted and it seems to have resolved the issue!! I was put off by not having the same name folder5&ed1e05a&0&10 as all seemed to have pointed to the exact name!

Hello! I have the same freezing mouse (Logitech MX Master 2S) problem with my Dell XPS 9710.

I can not change registry keys. After rebooting registry keys restore to the initial value. What shall I do to save these changes?
