XPS 15 9530 hub recommendation

Hello everyone,

I'm ordering XPS 15 9530 with the followings configurations:

13th gen I-9
32 gb Ram
Nvidia GeForce 4060 8MB GDDR6.
1 TB SSD
130 watts A/C Adapter.

I'm looking for a (non-Dell) usb-c hub with power delivery. Many of the hub with power delivery has wattage much less than 130 watts such as 60 watts. When looking for a hub with power delivery how important is it to get one with 130 watts? Will a lower wattage hub work?

I know that I can get a non-PD hub plug into one usb-c port and plug the A/C adapter that come with the laptop into another usb-c port. Just trying to see the option if I decide to get the usb hub with power delivery what is the wattage specs should I get. Also any recommendation on usb hubs would be greatly appreciated. (something around low $100 range)

Thanks

According to XPS 15 9530 specifications, that laptop requires a 130-watt adapter. You have an i9 CPU and Nvidia graphics, which have high power requirements. A lesser-power adapter will cause the system to slow down, and if it's too low can be harmful.

Also, a non-Dell adapter or hub delivering power may not allow for 130-watt delivery, again causing the system to slow down and possibly the battery will not charge.

The important figure is what the dock delivers to your laptop. You want an adapter that delivers 130 watts to your laptop, which of course will mean that the dock's power adapter will have a higher wattage.

I got one  more question. Looking at the Dell docking stations,  I'm a bit confused about the wattage specs on the power adapter versus the actual power delivery.   The ones that come with 130 watts power adapter, the actual power delivery is only 90 watts.    Only the one with 180 watts power adapter can have power delivery of 130 watts.   Therefore if I want to get a Dell docking station for my laptop I have to get the one with 180 watts power adapters in order to get 130 watts power delivery?   Is wattage of the adapter or the power delivery that I'm looking for when selecting a docking station.   This laptop come with 130 watts power adapter.
Thanks
