XPS 15-9560, battery not charging
Suddenly the AC adapter charger does not work to charge the battery. The battery keeps discharging.
When I accessed the BIOS and checked the battery information, it says "Excellent" and "AC Adapter: Not Installed.".
When I hover the cursor over the battery icon on the taskbar it says nothing, only shows "Power Mode (On Battery)."
The BIOS Power log shows "Power Off - ASF2 force off" and "Power On - Not applicable."
One thing that I've noticed is that even if the battery shows 0%, if the AC adapter is connected, I can still use the laptop although it gets really hot.
How can I solve the problem?

* How long had you owned this XPS 15-9560 before having this issue?
* What BIOS version is installed?
* Have you tried the following =
- Turn the laptop off
- Disconnect the AC adapter
- Turn over and remove the base cover
- Disconnect the battery cable
- Turn the laptop back over
- Open the lid
- Press the power button for 8 seconds
- Close the lid and turn the laptop over
- Reconnect the battery cable
- Replace the base cover
- Reconnect the AC adapter
- Power on and retest
