XPS 15 9560 BSOD loop when installing any drivers for discrete GPU
Hello, The NVIDIA GTX 1050 discrete gpu is showing with error code 43 in device manager, when updating/reinstalling drivers from dell or nvidia, having first used DDU, then get BSOD from nvlddmkm.sys (page fault in nonpaged area) and then a loop of logon screen followed by BSOD until the laptop is started in safe mode and the gpu disabled. To me it seems like a hardware issue - but is there something else to try? Could a replacement be fitted on one of the spare PCI-e 1x or PCI 32 bit lanes?

I have this exact problem, It was playing games just fine till it didn't. My graphics card just got up and left, any driver i try installing i get a BSOD (nvlddmkm.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area). The only driver that works was the one i had when the GPU disappeared. Only that driver installs without BSOD and the GPU still doesn't work, the nvidia control panel is absent and nothing else recognizes the gpu although it's there in device manager. hwinfo flags it as fake gtx 1050, and on gpu-z it list it without some obvious parameters

Im dealing with the same issue, ive reinstalled win10 a dozen times. Ive known about the nvidia issue for a bit and have been hesitant about installing a bunch of stuff on here knowing that im gonna have to lose some of it. I figure its my bottleneck for GTA V and was working ok on integrated graphics but decided to fix it and now im in the same boat as you. fml. Ive somehow achieved stability yet any nvidia driver from nvidia or dell just goes to bsod and then normal restarts without issue. sfc scannow shows nothing since first one performed at initial win10 install. one by one ive been installing other drivers and updates hoping for any light at the end of the tunnel. something tells me im stuck with what i got and bottleneck games all day long, sell it, or see if i can clone another xps users hd. Im looking for the same level of help as you.

Hey were you able to find a fix for this?? I'm having the exact same issue as you. I just wanted to play a game and realized I didn't have nvidia control panel installed. Trying to install drivers caused it to crash and I've been stuck in a loop since. I'm in windows now but whenever I try to install gpu drivers it crashes even installing pci controller drivers through device manager.
