XPS 15 9560, shutting down randomly

C9701A34-ABD0-4504-B82F-DE7753E13A61.jpeg

so today my dell xps 15 9560 has been shutting down on random intervals. It occured when i was browsing in chrome, exporting .dwg files from sketchup and when i was backing up files from my pc to a usb stick.

During the first crash it just went to a black screen but was still “on” and then the front LED was flashing orange a few times and then white. I had to force it to shut down by holding the power button for a few seconds, then i tried to turn it back on but at first it wouldn’t. After a few attempts it did start back up (with a longer boot time than usual). During the most recent crash this glitching happened during boot up that you can see in the photo. Im a bit lost since this never happend before and the pc didn't indicate or show any problems leading up to these crashes. I update windows and my drivers regularly and replaced my battery around a year ago.

The next time the issue arises, record the exact flash pattern of the diagnostic LEDs.  The meaning of the specific patters can be found here:

Thank you for the reply!

i kept an eye on the pattern and checked with the page you linked and it was 2 times orange and 4 times white. This means according to the info that i have a memory or ram failure. This doesn't sound very assuring, how should i go about this issue? Can i fix it or is the pc dead?

So good news and bad news, the pc works but one of my ram sockets is broken. I can still use it thankfully but ill only be able to use 16gb of ram instead of the original 32gb that was installed. Guess its time to start looking for a new laptop since this one is 5+ years Old, a bit of a bummer.
