XPS 15 Touch Screen

I have a XPS 15 (9510) with  40pin touch lcd. One day there was no longer an image! I am using the machine with an external monitor. The touch itself still works when I touch it.  But no image. Have updated drivers etc. Is it just broken?

The shop is saying £530 to repair - does this seem right?

Is there a way to
1) do it myself
2) find a cheaper part - I could not find anything on this site

Or best to buy a new one? Seems a shame as the machine works really well

Any help appreciated

Try running a screen diagnostic (hold the D key through powerup to initiate.  Do the test screens show on the panel?

The cost of a screen will depend on its resolution and the labor rate where you're located.  In the US, $200 should get  you an FHD display assembly for this model -- higher resolution or OLED will cost more.

Thank you yes I already did that. No test screens. The touch works though - as in a mark comes up when the screen is touched.
