XPS 9315 w. D3100 Docking- USB issues?
Hey,
I'm having some trouble with my work set up, and I'm considering upgrading the D3100 as I think this may be the route of the issue.
So my full work set up, is XPS9315 with monitor closed for space, D3100 connected via USB-C converted into USB. From the D3100, I then run two monitors, one through display, another through HDMI.
Because my laptop's closed, for calls & audio, I run a focusrite Scarlett Solo connected via USB, where I have my microphone & speakers running through. Other USB devices are a Dell keyboard, Logictech G502 mouse, & SriHome webcam.
The issues I'm facing are sometimes all of my USB devices will totally crash, meaning I'll lose audio / camera, I'll experience a huge amount of delay & feedback loop through my audio devices or I'll have significant lag on the PC.
I'm not 100% sure on the culprit, or really how to go through testing what the issues might be! I was thinking an upgrade on the docking station may solve some of the issues I'm facing here, because it does feel like I'm doing a lot through a single USB-C on my laptop but I didn't want to make the investment if anyone here has any other ideas?
