XPS 9350 Camera stops working after 3 seconds
XPS 13 9350
Not sure when this started, but any video or camera application is affected.
- Camera will start and the indicator light is on.
- Camera will shut off after 3 seconds, no video, but the indicator light stays on.
- Close application, indicator light still stays on.
- Try to reopen any video or camera app, no display.
- Rebooting resets the sequence.
What I've tried:
- Updating the BIOS to the latest, 4/8/2025.
- Deleting the camera and drivers from Device Manager.
- Uninstalled anti-virus security software (Bitdefender).
- Followed the steps in the Dell Accepted Solution: Dell XPS 13 9350 camera stopped working | DELL Technologies
I have also been getting the Blue Screen of Death in some cases when the camera is being accessed.
I have Pro Support but have no idea how to open a ticket on this issue. There is "camera" option in the list of problems when starting a ticket, and choosing Other Not Listed takes me nowhere.
