XPS 9365 Bluetooth not present/working

If have a XPS9365 from 2017 with the Intel 8265 WiFi/Bluetooth chipset.  The WiFi works fine, but the Bluetooth no longer works (since the last set up updates).  I tried rolling back the drivers and BIOS to the oldest available to no avail.  I even saw on a different discussion on this board (before it got hijacked for a similar issue) that one suggestion was to disconnect the battery and then reboot.

I did that, and for 1 boot cycle it worked. But subsequent boots have it failing again.  In the Device Manager, the Bluetooth section is hidden, and there is an "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" entry under the USB section.  Subsequent attempts to have it detect or point it to bluetooth drivers fails to work.

I see that is affecting a number of users, so I am hoping someone has found and actual solution to this problem, because replacing the module would be difficult (it's soldered to the motherboard).

Thanks.
