XPS 9370 - Thunderbolt controller issue, blue screen plugging USB on left side....
Have an XPS 9370 that developed an issue the other day. It was plugged into a Dell TB16 dock and just stopped outputting video, connecting to network, etc. After some troubleshooting with different docks, found that the Thunderbolt controller 1577 shows up with a yellow ! in Windows 10 saying 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.' Dock does not work on any of the ports. Plug in a USB thumb drive (though C-to-A adapter) on the right side, it works. Same thumb drive on the left side, the machine will blue screen.
I have tried a bunch of different BIOS versions. I tried to install a Thunderbolt firmware update, but it says there is no driver present - driver won't install either. I tried clearing the flea power.
I'm guessing she's toast. Anything else anyone might suggest? Appreciate anything. It's my wife's machine and while I had a spare for her.....she REALLY likes that this one is rose gold!

The Thunderbolt controller on the XPS 9370 can have issues when trying to connect to certain devices, causing the device to blue screen. One way to try and fix this is to update the BIOS and Thunderbolt firmware, as well as clear the flea power. If this does not fix the issue, then it is most likely a hardware issue with the Thunderbolt controller and the XPS 9370 will need to be sent in for repair.
One possible solution is to uninstall the Thunderbolt controller driver and then reinstall it. You can do this by going into Device Manager, selecting the Thunderbolt controller, and selecting Uninstall Driver. Once the driver is uninstalled, restart your computer and then install the latest Thunderbolt controller driver from Dell's website.
