XPS 9500, BIOS update failed, Auto recovery also failed

BIOS upgrade failed and now it is going to auto recovery and this also blocked due to unsupported downgraded. Anybody have any idea to stop auto recovery? Or I just throw it away this extraordinary laptop?

XPS 15 9500 laptop, correct?

Next step may be trying a BIOS Recovery.  I believe XPS 15 9500 should support BIOS Recovery 3.

Read/follow the instructions for BR3 carefully.

The BIOS Recovery image .rcv file is linked on this page. You'll need an empty (non-bootable) USB stick, probably not larger than 8 GB, that's formatted FAT32. Download and save the recovery .rcv file on that USB. Don't change its file name.

Plug the USB into the laptop with power fully off. Plug laptop into its power adapter and connect adapter to a working wall outlet. Power laptop on and immediately follow the instructions to launch the BIOS Recovery.

Fingers x'd...

Glad you were able to recover!

What version of BIOS was installed and what version failed?

I gave you the link to the .rcv file for BIOS 1.23.1. Are you saying you couldn't do a BIOS Recovery with that file so you used the .rcv file for BIOS 1.22.0?  This is important info, especially if there's a problem with BIOS 1.23.1 that Dell needs to fix quickly.

Don't know if a user is allowed to enter/change the Service Tag in BIOS setup.

Do you really need the Service Tag in BIOS setup?  You can manually check for updates on Dell's support site from time to time by entering the Service Tag there and when it recognizes this PC, just look for newly added updates since the last time you checked.

(Don't post Service Tag here.)
