Windows key | type or paste lpksetup | Enter | opens Install or uninstall display languagesUninstall display languages |  select the language that you want to remove, and follow the steps

If that doesn't work, you could perform a clean install of Windows, during which you will be able to choose your desired language and keyboard.

"Unistalled" it. Did not work.

Whenever I choose the keyboard input language on the button right of the screen I still have:

English (United States)

US

AND

English (United Kingdom)

German

Try installing German, rebooting and then try uninstalling again using the process in my previous post.

There are three possible solutions in this SuperUser thread. See if any work for you.

If not, I would consider performing a clean install of Windows, during which you will be able to choose your desired language and keyboard.

My laptop runs Win11. Neither solution from the thread worked.

However, I resolved the issue by myself by:

Settings > Time & language > Language & region > Add Language > English (United Kingdom) > three dots button > Language options > Installed keyboards > add keyboard

Then I added both German (QWERTZ) and US (QWERTY)

Then returned back to Language & region and deleted English (United Kingdom); the German keyboard finally disappeared from the options!
