XPS12 Screen Problem

Question

Hi,I have issues with my DELL XPS12 screen. Please check the attached image below , I need to know what is the problem with the screen and how can I get it fixed?

Start with a screen self-test (hold D through powerup).  If the self-test shows the same fault, the screen will need replacement.  If it doesn't, the mainboard is the faulty part.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried the screen test and it shows the same problem, so screen replacement will resolve this issue? Do you have any idea about the cause of this?

It looks to me like water or another liquid seeped into the screen -- did the system get wet at any point?

It didn't get wet, I always keep it in dry place but maybe something heavy was placed on it. I'm not sure if that could cause the issue. The screen patch is getting worse, it started with a small spot on right side.

I purchased a second hand dell xps 12 9q33 from ebay with a defective screen (with smudge and uneven bright and dark burn in on the screen.  I replaced it with original screen from  an authorized reapir shop of dell in our country.  ...and replaced it again when the symptoms persisted again and ordered original from ebay instead for the LCD parts.  Unlucky I am, had experience the same for the 3rd time.  I will never replace the screen again.  It seems that it is a manufacturers defect.  I think of not getting my next laptop from dell as this was an issue that never been addressed by dell.  Poor after sales service, maybe because of this issue that is why the original owner of the laptop sold it.  Unfortunately I felt I was a victim by both the seller and Dell.  As I tried to reach out dell for this issue but to no avail.  So its up to you guys if you still trust dell products.
