Hi all,

We have setup of MV/CE cluster on Microsoft windows 2008 across sites using CX4 sync replication..

In Primary node, we have 5 CE groups configured. Each CE group is a individual lun in CX4..

During the BCP exercise, we initially cut the Network connection across sites.Since the heartbeat lost between the cluster nodes the expected behaviour is

the cluster failover automatically .. Once the failover happens, we planned to cut the FC across sites..

but after NW cut, the IP and hostname resources are failedover to secondary server ..But the disk resources are not coming up.. In storage also , we see the roles have not swapped..

So we immediately did the storage level promote and then continued the FC cut ..

But ideally, MV/CE should initiate the disk failover to secondary also automatically..

Recently in the same server, we added one CE group but since it is of 3 luns we configured as a consistency group at storage side..

After this, recently we did the BCP exercise .. During this, the cg group is failedover automatically after Network cut .. But all individual luns needed to be promoted at storage side..

Any idea about this, that the CG group is mandatory for CE group to failover ?
