Go to SolutionAurora R4 windows 8
I know this has been asked a million times but I am stuck. I am trying to upgrade to windows 8 on the Aurora R4 that I bought a week or so ago. I know I have to update my raid drivers to 3.5 but when I go look for them, the ones that are suggested are listed under windows 8 not windows 7. If I install them in windows 7 it just rolls them back to the old drivers when I reboot. I am sure I am doing something wrong here but I cant figure out what.
When I try to install windows 8 it seems to install fine till the first reboot then it just sits there with a spinning icon on the screen. the icon is spinning so I know its trying to do something, its not totally frozen but even letting it sit there for hours does not get it to move beyond that.
I thought it might be because I had a 3 tb hard drive so I made a second partition. I have a 2 tb and a 1 tb now (that was all I needed to do on my other computer that has a 3tb hd to get windows 8 to install)
To be safe I downloaded all the newest drivers and installed them. Also my bios is 07 the newest one. Any help at all would be appreciated.
