Bluetooth mouse behaving erratically (new XPS 420)
I have just received an XPS desktop (in the UK) and am finding that the bluetooth mouse is behaving very erratically. I am new to bluetooth devices (and this forum), so would be very grateful for help or advice.
The mouse will 'stick' and then suddenly move, or will skid on past where I want the cursor to stop. Sometimes the pointer freezes. At times the mouse is motionless, but the cursor wanders across the screen. It is very difficult to use the mouse at times, e.g. in graphics packages or in games that use the mouse.. This is a brand new system so I would not expect a problem like this.
I have tried the following: (1) Pressing the connect button underneath. Only temporarily resolves the issue. (2) Running the bluetooth mouse troubleshooting wizard. Since this is a brand new system I would not expect to have to reinstall drivers, etc. (3) Changing the mouse mat. Slightly improved the problem, but not much (and I would expect the XPS mousemat to work with an XPS system!)
(4) Searching this forum. Other people appeared to have a similar problem. In one thread, the problem was resolved (for several people) by updating the ATI graphics drivers, but I presume that I have the latest Nvidia drivers since it is such a new system.

System details: XPS 420 Preimum Viiv Q6600 Quad Core Processor 2.40GHz, 1066Mhz FSB, 8MB cache, 4GB RAM, Vista Home Premium, 19-in-1 Bluetooth Media Card Reader, SINGLE 768MB nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX
