Laptop will not start.
My Inspiron 5150 will not start and I am getting a bit frustrated.
I brought the laptop with me when I went on a trip as a place to store the pics from the digital camera when the memory card got full. When I opened the door of the vehicle at the airport to get the baggage, the bag that had my laptop must have shifted and it fell out of the car onto the ground. My lazy self didn't take out the Linkssys card for the wireless internet either and that is the corner it hit (also where hard drive is). The Linksys card is now bent and the coputer will not work properly. For a while it was still booting up, but if I would hit the keyboard the wrong way, or slightly tap the table, the computer would shut down. It started out not being such a big problem, but eventually got worse. One time even me walking into the room shut the computer down.
I had someone (who I thought new a lot about computers) tell me that it was the hard drive that was more than likely ruined during the fall. Taking his word, I ordered a new hard drive online. I installed it and the problem is still there. Everything inside the computer looks fine, but I am not a computer whiz.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
THANKS!!!!
